Biography
Dr. Ariun Ishdorj’s research primarily focuses on the economics of food, nutrition, and health, including the evaluations of food and nutrition assistance programs, the analysis of agricultural policies and interventions, the study of consumer preferences and behavior, the exploration of food insecurity and disability-related issues, as well as the examination of how food environments impact diet quality and health. Dr. Ishdorj has extensive experience in statistical modeling, both frequentist and Bayesian methods, systematic review and meta-analysis, and the management and analysis of big data. Dr. Ishdorj has taught over 3,000 undergraduate and 500 graduate students, chaired 21 graduate student committees, and served as a committee member of numerous others. Her efforts have been recognized with the 2022 Association of Former Students University-level Distinguished Achievement, the 2021 Association of Former Students College-level Distinguished Achievement Award in Teaching, and the 2018 College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Dean’s Outstanding Achievement Award in Educational Enrichment and Innovation.
