Biography
Leda Amrullah serves as Finance and Administration Manager for the Women’s Scholarship Endowment (WSE) Program at the Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture and Development. Overseen by the U.S. Department of State (DOS), WSE supports Afghan women’s access to higher education and pathways to professional opportunities through partnerships with international universities.
Drawing on her experience in international development, Leda coordinates financial, administrative, and operational functions, including payment processing, budget monitoring, procurement, agreement management, and partner coordination. Her work emphasizes donor compliance, audit readiness, risk management, and accountable stewardship of program resources, supported by analytical, organizational, cross-cultural communication, and problem-solving skills.
Through these efforts, she contributes to the program’s mission of expanding educational opportunities for Afghan women, reflecting her broader commitment to women’s rights, financial independence, and participation in development.
