Reciprocal Exchange

There are 6 universities with which Texas A&M has university-wide reciprocal exchange agreements.  Of these 6, there are an additional 5 universities which have an agreement with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.  Below is information on programs in these universities which might be of interest to a student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.  When looking for a match with specifics majors, one must look carefully as curricula may be under a different faculty/college than expected.

AUSTRALIA

University of Queensland

Spread across 3 campuses in the state of Queensland, Australia, this university offers programs in agribusiness, agricultural economics, resource and environmental economics, animal sciences, plant sciences, soil sciences, rural management, rural technology, environmental management (rural systems), pasture and rangeland production, crops, production horticulture, food science and nutrition, and veterinary sciences.

DENMARK

Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen

Denmark's premier agricultural university offers more than 100 agricultural courses are taught in English.

FRANCE

Fédération des Écoles Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Agriculture (FESIA)

FESIA is a consortium of Colleges of Agriculture (Grandes Écoles) whose aim is to form engineers for agriculture and its environment, with an international vocation. Most classes are taught in French.

GERMANY

Fachhochschule Wiesbaden (University of Applied Sciences)

Founded in 1971, the Fachhochschule Wiesbaden is one of the 15 largest universities in Germany with 8,600 students.  The University excels in practise oriented training which prepares students for numerous and contemporary professions and offers 4 international courses of study.

JAPAN

Osaka University

This university, located in one of the largest cities in south, central Japan has an undergraduate program in environmental engineering.

MEXICO

Instituto Tecnólogico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey

The Monterrey campus alone offers programs in HACCP, meat sciences, food services, ornamentals and greenhouse production, sustainable development, and environmental sciences.  The ITESM system has 30 campuses in 26 cities throughout Mexico.

Universidad de las America - Puebla

The university has programs in food engineering, and hotel and restaurant management.

TUNISIA

Université du 7 Novembre a Carthage, Tunisie

Twenty-five institutions offering programs from agriculture to liberal arts to engineering to the sciences fall under the umbrella of 7th Novembre.  Classes are taught in French.

UNITED KINGDOM

Lancaster University

The Department of Biological Sciences has programs in ecosystem biology, soil ecology, and biological sciences.

The Department of Environmental Sciences has environmental science, environmental chemistry, and pollution sciences.

Lancaster also has programs in Plant Sciences for Industry and a Unit of Vegetation Sciences (similar to rangeland ecology), as well as a Centre for the Study of Environmental Change and an Institute for Environment, Philosophy and Public Policy.
