The Norman Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture seeks to build permanent endowments through philanthropic support. This support is vital to the establishment of international fellowships, endowed chairs, programs, and facilities to achieve the Borlaug Institute’s goals of feeding the world’s hungry and promoting peace through scientific innovation and global collaboration.

Borlaug International Scholars Fund – The Memorial Fund of the Borlaug Family
This fund is for land-grant university degree training of future leaders in agriculture and food security from developing countries. This fund will be administered by the Texas A&M Foundation, a non-profit organization. Click here for information about the fund. Online memorials can be submitted here.
The Borlaug Institute Excellence Fund
As our signature endowment, the Excellence Fund allows for the long-term sustainability of the educational, outreach, and research programs of the Borlaug Institute. It guarantees the legacy of Dr. Borlaug and provides the opportunity for targeted and sustained agricultural interventions around the world.
If you would like to give to the Excellence Fund, please make payment to the “Texas A&M Foundation” and reference the “Borlaug Institute Excellence Fund.” Payment can be sent directly to the Foundation or can be sent to the Borlaug Institute offices.
The Borlaug Institute Student Experience Fund
The Student Experience Fund is specifically for providing international educational and extension opportunities for students. An objective of the Institute is to increase exposure of Texas A&M students to the needs of the developing world. With this fund, students will realize they can personally address challenges facing the global community. It will focus on empowering students to use science and innovation to end hunger, increase livelihoods, and conserve natural resources.
