Career vs. Collaboration

The Borlaug Institute fills administrative, long-term career positions at headquarters in College Station, TX as those positions come available. But collaboration with The Institute can take place in a number of ways, one of which is through shorter term employment in one of our ongoing development projects across the globe.

Collaborating as a project participant is a job that can last a matter of months to several years, depending on the project by which an individual is employed. The type of person most commonly employed by an development project of the Borlaug Institute is a scientific or administrative professional with extensive experience in their respective field. These individuals typically consist of university faculty and other industry and scientific experts whose skills complement project objectives.

Project jobs are filled as contracts are awarded to the Borlaug Institute to begin development work. This means new opportunities for collaboration arise throughout the year.
