World Food Day

World Food Day is celebrated every October 16th in more than 150 countries to commemorate the founding of the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in 1945. The goal of this observance are to:

  • Increase public awareness of the widespread effects of hunger and association illnesses and socioeconomic conditions.
  • Educate and motivate people worldwide to take action against hunger.
