Are you a student at A&M interested in international agriculture? Looking for ways to meet others with your same interests? Join the TAMU chapter of the International Association of Students in Agriculture and Related Sciences (IAAS)!

Today, April 24, at 7:00pm, IAAS will have officer elections in a meeting at the brand new Memorial Student Center! Whether running for an officer position or casting your vote for a nominee, IAAS needs YOU to give a hand in developing its chapter at Texas A&M.

Founded in 1957 in Tunis by 8 countries, the International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS) is at the moment one of the world’s biggest student organizations and one of the leading agricultural student associations.

IAAS gathers students studying, majoring or researching in agriculture and related areas like environmental sciences, forestry, food sciences, landscape architecture etc. Its committees are spread in universities in over 40 countries worldwide.

If you are an active leader looking to make your mark in the College of Agriculture, please consider a position with IAAS. Here are a few of the opportunities that come with joining:

  • Promote cultural awareness and appreciation across campus
  • Network with IAAS chapters around the world and professionals in agricultural development
